    Primary Duties

    Emergency Management Volunteer Opportunities

The Emergency Management division is part of the Mayor's office and helps residents be better prepared for a disaster, and help the city prepare, respond and recover from disasters. Our volunteers perform a wide variety of tasks, both during emergencies and as routine work. Tasks may include membership in the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Amateur Radio Emergency Communications, Public Education, and general office duties. Some work is done at events throughout the city before the emergencies and some will be done during and immediately after the event. Volunteers are assigned meaningful tasks based on training, experience, and interest.
