    Pretty With Purpose, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women through mentorship and leadership development. Our Mentoring One-on-One program pairs participants with professional mentors for personalized guidance, support, and empowerment, helping young women navigate their professional and personal lives to achieve their goals.

    Position Summary

    The Mentor Program Coordinator leads the Mentoring One-on-One Program, ensuring its effective operation and alignment with organizational goals. You are responsible for the recruitment of diverse professional mentors, facilitating compatible matches between mentors and mentees, and monitoring these relationships to ensure they meet the organization's standards.

    Operating within the MOCHA framework, you serve as the Manager (M) of the mentorship lifecycle—from recruitment to matching and monitoring—reporting outcomes directly to the Program Director.

    Key Responsibilities

    Mentorship Management & Matching

    • Matching: Facilitate matches between mentees and mentors, carefully considering compatibility, shared interests, and mutual goals.
    • Monitoring: Monitor mentee-mentor interactions to ensure they meet the requirement of at least two hours per month, either virtually or in person.
    • Guidance: Provide ongoing guidance, support, and resources to the team of professional mentors throughout their involvement.

    Recruitment & Partnerships

    • Recruitment: Recruit a diverse team of professional mentors who align with PWP’s mission and values.
    • Partnerships: Cultivate partnerships with individual professionals and organizations to enhance mentoring opportunities and resources.

    Events & Networking

    • Networking Events: Organize exclusive networking events for board members, mentors, and mentees to foster professional connections and collaboration (Collaborate with Event & Logistics Director).
    • Empowerment Conference: Organize an annual Empowerment Conference as a major fundraiser, celebrating and appreciating women's contributions.

    Administration & Reporting

    • Reporting: Submit detailed monthly reports by the 25th of each month to the Program Director, Secretary, and President to update stakeholders on activities and outcomes.
    • Evaluation: Assist with program evaluation efforts by collecting feedback and assessing the impact of mentorship activities.

    Fundraising

    • Resource Development: Coordinate fundraising efforts, sponsorships, and partnerships specifically to secure necessary resources for the Mentor One-on-One Program.

    Outcomes & KPIs

    • Engagement: 100% of active mentor/mentee pairs meeting the minimum requirement of 2 hours per month.
    • Reporting Compliance: Monthly reports submitted on time by the 25th of each month.
    • Event Success: Successful planning and execution of the Empowerment Conference and networking events.
    • Retention: Maintain a high retention rate of mentors through effective support and recognition.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: Experience in mentorship, counseling, human resources, or volunteer management is highly preferred.
    • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for conflict resolution and relationship building; ability to organize events and fundraisers.
    • Professionalism: Organized, dependable, and able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and mentor information.
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are "KEY and a MUST".

    Expectations & Commitment

    • Time Commitment: Estimated 5–10 hours per week. Must attend 90% of activities and monthly program meetings.
    • Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to safety rules: No meeting with kids without PWP/parent consent; never be alone with a child; no secrets or gossiping.
    • Confidentiality: Must sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) regarding all participant and organizational information.
    • Leadership: We are Leaders and must lead by example; respect and love all sisters in the organization.
