    Description

    We are looking for a tech-savvy, organized, and proactive Volunteer Microsoft 365 Implementor to help modernize our digital workspace. You will be responsible for the initial setup, configuration, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Your work will directly empower our team to collaborate more effectively and ensure our data remains secure as we pursue our mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Tenant Setup & Configuration: Configure the M365 admin center, including custom domains, user accounts, and security groups.
    • Collaboration Architecture: Design and deploy SharePoint Online site structures and Microsoft Teams channels to streamline internal communication.
    • Email Migration: Assist in migrating existing email data (e.g., from Gmail or IMAP) to Exchange Online.
    • Security & Compliance: Implement essential security measures, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), data loss prevention (DLP) basics, and permission levels.
    • Cloud Storage Migration: Transition files from local drives or legacy cloud services (like Dropbox/Google Drive) to OneDrive for Business and SharePoint.
    • Documentation & Training: Create simple "How-To" guides and conduct brief training sessions to help staff/volunteers adopt the new tools.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams).
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot configuration issues and find creative solutions within the M365 suite.
    • Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff members.
    • Reliability: Ability to commit to the agreed-upon hours and meet project milestones.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Microsoft’s nonprofit licensing and grants.
    • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900 or MS-700) are a plus but not required.
