    Description

    Reports to: Executive Director / Children’s Program Coordinator

    Hours: 3–5 hrs/week

    Commitment: 6–12 months

    Role Summary

    Supports children impacted by domestic violence through structured activities, safety support, and emotional stabilization resources.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with children’s groups, activities, and trauma-informed play support
    • Help families access school, tutoring, and behavioral health resources
    • Support safety planning for children
    • Maintain confidential documentation for children’s programming
    • Provide warm, calm, grounding presence to children processing trauma

    Qualifications

    • Experience with children required (education, counseling, youth work, etc.)
    • Trauma-informed or DV 40-hour certification preferred
    • Patient, grounding, emotionally stable
    • Must pass background check
