    Digital Advertising Specialist

    Title: Digital Advertising Specialist

    Department and/or Team: Marketing

    Reports to: Marketing Director

    Works with:

    Collaborates closely with the Marketing Director and content creation team. May occasionally interact with social media volunteers and leadership team members to ensure campaign messaging supports organizational goals.

    Description of Role:

    This volunteer will take the lead on managing and optimizing our Google Ads campaigns to drive engagement, visibility, and conversions. They will monitor ad performance, manage budgets, adjust bids, and contribute creative and strategic input to support broader marketing efforts. A secondary focus will be assisting with ad copywriting and the creation of compelling visual assets for social media.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Manage and optimize active Google Ads campaigns
    • Monitor ad spend and performance; report results and recommend improvements
    • Conduct keyword research and audience targeting strategies
    • Assist with ad copywriting and A/B testing
    • Collaborate with the team to create cohesive content for social platforms

    Skills/Qualifications Needed:

    • Experience managing Google Ads campaigns and budgets.
    • Understanding of digital ad metrics, targeting, and performance reporting.
    • Strong copywriting skills with a strategic mindset.
    • Familiarity with social media creative (graphic tools like Canva or Adobe a plus).
    • Ability to work virtually (phone, email) on a regular basis.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to maintain professional level correspondence at all times.
    • Must be a creative thinker and approach the role strategically.
    • Must be self-motivated, organized, and consistent with follow through.
    • Must have a HS diploma or higher degree of education.
    • Must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or business(es) related to animal welfare.

    Time Commitment:

    Approximately 5 hours per week, with flexibility. Some grace is offered around availability, but consistency is preferred.
