    Description

Planned Parenthood believes that knowledge empowers people to make informed, healthy decisions. We offer comprehensive sex education programs for both youth and adults that teach medically accurate, culturally relevant information. Planned Parenthood educators are experts in their field and offer a wide variety of age-appropriate, research-based programs that are tailored to each audience.

Current programs that we provide in North Dakota:

    • Reach One Teach One is a peer education program for teens with a focus on real-life issues related to relationships and sexuality. Meets once a week for 4-8 weeks. Evenings during the school year. 10-12 participants.
    • INclued is a one-time program, 2.5-3 hours in length. Specifically designed for LGBTQ+ youth and allies with a focus on self-advocacy, safer sex, and navigating a clinic visit.
    • Parents Are Sexuality Educators (PASE) - this is one-time workshop for parents and adults who want to learn information and skills related to talking to children and teens about sex.
    • Guest speaking, presentations, etc. We frequently get invitations to speak at events or provide presentations.

Education Program Assistants will provide support to the program Educator to prepare for each program/session and ensure a smooth program session. This may include assisting with set-up/take down for each session, preparing/organizing supplies, supporting program activities and engagement as needed. (Can be helpful, though not required, to provide support by driving to pick-up pre-ordered food or other supplies.)

    Skills needed:

    • Interest in engaging with youth.
    • Support of and comfort in the Education Program offerings.
    • Preferred: ability to drive

    Commitment:

4 months, for programs that meet weekly, a commitment of at least the complete program.
