    Description

    Process Improvement Support Volunteer

    Department: International Services

    Location: Remote

    Join the Red Cross Response Programs and Operations team and help strengthen how we deliver support to communities affected by crises worldwide.

    In this role, you’ll help streamline key processes, improve documentation, and support teams working to enhance global emergency response. Your contributions will directly support faster, clearer, and more effective humanitarian operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support process‑improvement meetings, workshops, and documentation.
    • Gather and organize information to help identify workflow improvements.
    • Create and update process maps and procedures using tools like Visio, Word, or PowerPoint.
    • Document current‑ and future‑state workflows for clarity and consistency.
    • Develop and refine guidance and reference materials.

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience with process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
    • Ability to map and document workflows using common Microsoft tools.
    • Strong collaborator who can support group problem‑solving.
    • Self‑directed and able to work independently.
    • At least 2 weekday hours available between 9 a.m.–4 p.m. ET.
    • Willingness to follow Red Cross and public-health safety guidelines.
    • Able to submit a resume.

    Preferred Skills

    • Familiarity with TQM, ISO 9000, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management.
    • Experience with project‑management tools or methods.
