    Description

Volunteer Pilates Instructor – Lead a Gentle, Grounding Session for NYC Social Workers & Therapists

Are you a Pilates instructor who believes in the power of movement as healing? Do you want to offer your gifts in a space dedicated to those who spend their lives caring for others?

The Social Work Ladies Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in New York City supporting social workers, therapists, and helping professionals through wellness programming, professional development, and intentional community building. Our work centers the wellbeing of those who hold space for others every day.

On Saturday, March 21, we are hosting our next in-person quarterly wellness retreat at Casa Wellness in Long Island City/Queens NYC. These retreats are designed as restorative spaces where clinicians can rest, recharge, and reconnect with themselves and each other.

We are seeking a volunteer Pilates instructor to guide a gentle, mat-based 20–30 minute session at 2pm. This session will help participants warm up and reconnect with their bodies before yoga and a sound bath, making it an essential part of the retreat’s restorative flow.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A mat-based class (no equipment beyond mats)
    • Gentle, accessible, and trauma-informed movement
    • An inclusive approach suitable for all levels
    • A warm, grounding presence that aligns with a restorative retreat environment

This is a beautiful opportunity to guide a room full of professionals who deeply understand the importance of holistic wellness — and who will truly appreciate your offering.

    What You’ll Receive:

    • Public acknowledgment and gratitude in retreat materials
    • Recognition across our social media platforms
    • Additional exposure through our partner organizations, including Siembra Today and Release Wellness
    • The opportunity to share your practice with a values-aligned community of therapists and social workers
    • A meaningful, community-centered teaching experience that supports those who support others

We welcome instructors in training, early-career teachers, and experienced instructors who are looking to teach in a purpose-driven, heart-centered space.

If you feel called to contribute to the wellbeing of helping professionals in NYC, we would love to connect with you.

Let’s pour into the people who pour into everyone else. 💛
