    Social Media Coordinator – Volunteer Role

    Pride St. Charles is seeking a creative and community-minded Social Media Coordinator to join our team!

    The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in amplifying Pride St. Charles’ message of inclusion, connection, and celebration. This person will help share our story year-round — promoting events, uplifting local voices, and keeping our followers informed and inspired.

    Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, this role helps ensure our online presence reflects our mission: Building Bridges, Building Community.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, create, and schedule engaging posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

    • Capture and share content from events, meetings, and community initiatives

    • Collaborate with Board Members and Coordinators to highlight programs, volunteers, and sponsors

    • Maintain a consistent brand voice centered on inclusion, positivity, and community

    • Engage with followers, respond to messages, and foster a safe, welcoming online space

    • Track engagement metrics and share insights to improve reach and visibility

    Ideal Skills & Experience

    • Familiarity with social media strategy, trends, and best practices

    • Experience using Canva, Meta Business Suite, or other content scheduling tools

    • Excellent communication, creativity, and attention to detail

    • Strong sense of teamwork and passion for LGBTQIA+ visibility and inclusion

    • (Bonus!) Comfortable capturing content at live events or creating short-form videos (Reels)

    Time Commitment

    🕒 January–June: 15–20 hours per month (possibly more depending on open positions or event needs)

    🕐 July–December: 10–15 hours per month (slower season post-festival)

    Additional Details

    • The Coordinator shall sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for the organization.

    • This written description does not depict every aspect or duty of the position; additional duties may be assigned by the President or other Board Members as needed.

    • All Directors of Pride St. Charles are volunteers.

    • Term: Two-year term.
