Make a positive difference in the life of an actively dying hospice patient. Vigil Volunteers receive special training about end-of-life care at Brighton Hospice to become part of the patient's hospice team. As a Vigil Volunteer, you provide a peaceful presence when the patient's death is imminent. You might sit bedside, read scripture (or a story, devotion, poetry), play music, or just be present. You might even sing, as long as you remember that hospice does not hasten death, especially with terrible singing.
