The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) San Diego is looking for an Outreach Coordinator to represent the Society at events for active duty military, retirees, and their families. The Outreach Coordinator serves as a knowledgeable resource of NMCRS programming and is often the first point of contact for many prospective clients and volunteers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide briefings to build awareness of NMCRS programs and services and recruit volunteers
- Coordinate publicity of NMCRS programs and services at events and fairs
- Staff and set up tables
- Present a professional, friendly and objective appearance
- Serve as an NMCRS Ambassador
TIME COMMITMENT
- Minimum 2-4 hours per event, not including travel time to/from the venue
- Events may take place on Naval Base San Diego or at off-base locations, with no more than two events per week
- Must be available to attend occasional weekday evening and weekend events
QUALIFICATIONS
- Commit to the team for a minimum of 6 months
- Complete NMCRS Orientation and Training
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
- Knowledge of NMCRS programs and services
- Familiarity with military life a plus but not required
