    Description

    Overview Join our Community Outreach Committee as a Community Navigator. Be the welcoming bridge between CITCA and the families, youth, and partners we serve. This role is about listening, guiding, and connecting people with resources, programs, and opportunities that strengthen our community.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a first point of contact for community members seeking support or information
    • Share accurate, up-to-date resources on wellness, food access, education, and local services
    • Assist with outreach events by greeting participants, answering questions, and ensuring inclusive engagement
    • Document community needs and feedback to inform CITCA’s programs and advocacy
    • Collaborate with committee members to plan outreach strategies and strengthen volunteer involvement
    • Represent CITCA’s values of care, empowerment, and inclusivity in all interactions

    Qualifications

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for diverse audiences (families, youth, partners)
    • Empathy and cultural sensitivity; commitment to building inclusive spaces
    • Organizational skills to track outreach activities and follow up with community members
    • Comfort working in teams and independently; proactive problem-solving mindset
    • Prior experience in community service, outreach, or volunteer engagement is helpful but not required
    • Bilingual abilities are a plus
