    Be a voice for change by sharing life-changing information with your community.

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who deliver engaging, Alzheimer’s Association-prepared presentations to a variety of audiences. Through education, you’ll raise awareness, connect families to resources, and help change the way people understand and approach dementia.

    KEY ACTIVITIES

      • Deliver ~12 presentations annually using pre-approved content
      • Partner with staff to identify venues, schedule sessions, and coordinate logistics
      • Present at local events, conferences, or virtual sessions
      • Refer attendees to additional programs and the 24/7 Helpline
      • Serve as an ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Association in your community

    QUALIFICATIONS

    āœ… Strong communication and presentation skills

    āœ… Comfortable with technology and virtual delivery tools

    āœ… Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners

    āœ… Passion for the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission (personal/professional experience a plus)

    COMMITMENT

    šŸ—“ļø Minimum 1-year term leading monthly events

    šŸ—“ļø Goal of 12 presentations per year

    šŸŽ“ Participation in training and continued education

    šŸ” Terms renewed annually through staff goal setting
