    Description

    Gardening volunteers needed at Alameda Point Collaborative's Ploughshares Nursery

    Do you love plants and want to make a difference in your community? Alameda Point Collaborative's Ploughshares Nursery is looking for volunteers to help our garden thrive! whether you're an experienced gardener or just eager to learn, we welcome all who are ready to roll up their sleeves and dig in.

    As a volunteer, you'll support hands-on projects such as:

    • Basic plant care and watering
    • Soil Sterilization
    • Seed and Cutting Collection
    • Garden Maintenance
    • Sign-making
    • Plant potting

    Your time will help keep our nursery flourishing while supporting APC's larger mission of creating housing and opportunities for formerly homeless families. It's a wonderful way to connect with nature, learn new skills, and give back to the community.

    Details:

    • Flexible volunteer shifts available (weekday and weekend options available)
    • No prior gardening experience required- training provided
    • Great for individuals, students, and groups
