    Description

    The Strategic Program Planning Advisor will support The Shoebox Project for Women in

    strengthening, evaluating, and expanding its programs to better serve women across

    Canada. This experienced volunteer will work closely with senior leadership to assess

    current program delivery, identify opportunities for growth, and help align programs with

    the organization’s long-term strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and assess existing programs and initiatives for effectiveness, reach, and

    sustainability

    • Support the development of program frameworks, timelines, and success

    indicators

    • Provide strategic input on program expansion, innovation, and year-round

    engagement opportunities

    • Assist in aligning program activities with organizational strategy and mission

    priorities

    • Prepare brief recommendations or reports for leadership and, where appropriate,

    the Board

    Skills & Experience

    • Experience in program planning, program management, or strategic planning

    (nonprofit or public sector preferred)

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to think both strategically and practically
    • Experience working with or advising nonprofit organizations is an asset
