🌱 Volunteer Opportunity: Support Volunteer for Flora Circular – Sustainability & Community Empowerment

Are you passionate about environmental sustainability, community development, and hands-on impact? Join Flora Circular, a grassroots initiative by HOOP Perú focused on reducing the carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices in the informal settlement of Flora Tristán and surrounding areas.

🌍 About the Project

Flora Circular works toward building a sustainable community through:

• Carbon footprint reduction (composting, solid waste collection, recycling education)
• Educational development (environmental workshops for youth and schools)
• Business development (empowering local entrepreneurs with green business models)

💼 Responsibilities May Include:

• Supporting composting and waste management efforts
• Assisting with workshops in local schools
• Helping design and execute awareness campaigns (e.g., signs, posters, social media content)
• Collecting and analyzing basic data from local businesses or schools
• Providing logistical support during training sessions and community events
• Assisting local entrepreneurs with green business ideas
• Documenting project progress through photos, stories, or blog content

🔍 What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for sustainability, environmental education, or community development
• Willingness to engage in fieldwork in under-resourced communities
• Interest in Latin American social and ecological contexts
• Basic to intermediate Spanish (highly recommended)
• Adaptability and teamwork

🕒 Time Commitment:

• Minimum commitment of 1 month (though we encourage stays of 3 months or more)
