    Description

    Blogging/Writing

The Turner Syndrome Foundation's blog provides information to the community in three main categories: Turner syndrome stories about health, living with TS, and organizational updates. The blog is a powerful tool that can be linked back to via social media and email, to ensure TSF remains a leading voice on TS.

The Turner Syndrome Foundation (TSF) is seeking dedicated Blog Content Writers to create engaging, informative, and impactful blog posts that raise awareness about Turner syndrome, share stories, and promote resources for our community. Writers volunteer their craft to change and save lives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and write blog posts on topics related to Turner syndrome, health advocacy, patient stories, and organizational updates.
    • Ensure content is accurate, clear, and accessible to a broad audience, including patients, families, healthcare providers, and supporters.
    • Collaborate with the TSF team to align blog content with campaigns, events, and organizational goals.
    • Incorporate SEO best practices to improve visibility and reach.
    • Edit and proofread content to maintain professional quality and consistency with TSF’s voice and style.
    • Stay informed about the latest trends in health writing, nonprofit storytelling, and digital communications.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
    • Ability to translate complex medical and advocacy information into easy-to-understand content.
    • Strong research skills and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with SEO, WordPress, or other blogging platforms preferred.
    • Self-motivated, deadline-oriented, and able to work independently.

    Impact

Your writing will help inform, inspire, and empower the Turner syndrome community while spreading awareness to a broader audience.

As an organization we keep an active blog so our community will have access to updated information not only about our happenings, but also Turner Syndrome. We publish between 2-3 posts per week, including at least 1 that is written by a volunteer blog writer.

The blog posts that we are looking for help writing will be based on existing content. This may include viewing one of our webinars and creating a "highlights" post, or summarizing existing content on our website (there is a lot of information, so this is a helpful way for us to break it down for people). Some supplemental research may be required.

    • Writing, editing
