    About Us

    Circle of Care St. Louis, founded in 2019, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping older adults and individuals with disabilities live independently with dignity, safety, and community connection. Through our three integrated divisions — In-Home Services, Social Services & Care Coordination, and Community Wellness — we directly serve 400 individuals each year and impact more than 1,000 through education, benefits navigation, and wellness programs.

    The Role

    We are seeking a visionary and engaged Chairman of the Board of Directors to guide Circle of Care St. Louis into its next chapter of growth. The Chairman will provide leadership to the Board, foster a strong partnership with the CEO, and serve as a key ambassador for our mission in the St. Louis region and beyond.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership to the Board of Directors in fulfilling its governance and fiduciary duties
    • Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Team to advance Circle of Care’s strategic plan, fundraising goals, and community impact
    • Preside over bi-monthly Board meetings and ensure effective committee engagement
    • Serve as an ambassador for the organization, cultivating partnerships, donors, and community relationships
    • Serve as a sounding board and trusted partner to the CEO, helping align board governance with executive leadership
    • Ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, and nonprofit best practices

    Qualifications

    • Prior nonprofit board or executive leadership experience strongly preferred
    • Background in healthcare, senior services, social services, philanthropy, or business leadership is highly desirable
    • Strong fundraising, advocacy, or community engagement track record
    • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
    • Commitment to Circle of Care’s mission and values, with a passion for serving older adults and individuals with disabilities

    Commitment

    • Board meetings occur every other month (6 times per year)
    • Participation in strategic planning sessions, committee meetings, and major fundraising events
    • Expected annual personal contribution and willingness to leverage networks for fundraising and partnerships

    Location

    Meetings can be attended in person at our Hazelwood, MO office (431 Chez Paree Drive, Hazelwood, MO 63042) or virtually.
