Our Mission
The Incarnation Institute for Sex & Faith (IISF) is a collection of professionals in the fields of sexology and Christianity (such as clergy, therapists, sex educators, and social workers) dedicated to teaching an inclusive, science-friendly, and sex-positive Christianity. Our beliefs are that sexual diversity is a natural trait to be celebrated, that sexual pleasure is a sacred gift to be treasured, and that sexual freedom is a human right to be personally discerned and morally exercised.
The Position
After spending years focusing most of our efforts on content and programming, our board is expanding its goals to include organizational growth, sustainability, and bandwidth for new programming. We are looking for new volunteer board members to aid in the next chapter of IISF’s growth. Areas in which the board needs help include but are not limited to organization/tidying of IISF’s Google Drive, website refreshment, audio & video editing, and event planning & organizing. Additionally, we are looking for people with experience in policy and advocacy work, as well as community organizing and movement building.
Logistics
Prospective board members must be in alignment with and excited about the mission and work of IISF and be willing to spend 1-5 hours per month on board projects, in addition to a monthly meeting. New board members will go through a probationary period before becoming voting members. If you are interested, please contact IISF at admin@incarnationinstitute.org with a resume and cover letter detailing your interest in joining the work of IISF.
