Description
This is an Indirect Volunteering opportunity, with the ability to do this remotely, but must be located in the Miami-Dade area.
AccentCare Hospice of Miami is seeking compassionate and caring individuals to support our bereaved families. Volunteers will make phone calls to families whose loved one has passed away in the last year. Calls will provide grief support and care for bereaved families. Bilingual volunteer positions available. Some things that Bereavement Volunteers help our families with may include but are not limited to: Encouraging the bereaved to participate in support groups and/or scheduled activities when appropriate. Complete a Bereavement Note for each phone call or visit.

For this volunteer opportunity we AccentCare requires a drug test/background check and also completing fingerprinting.
Information for these two components will be discussed and provided during initial contact with volunteer.
