    Position Details

    Type: Volunteer (Success-Based Honorarium)

    Reports To: Executive Director

    Location: Remote / Virtual

    Time Commitment: Flexible (5–10 hours per week recommended)

    Greater IMPACT Church is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel, strengthening families, and building a faith-filled community. We operate both ministry-focused and operational teams (IT, administration, creative, and people & culture) to support our mission with excellence.

    Overview:

    The Development & Partnerships Manager plays a critical role in establishing the long-term financial sustainability of Greater IMPACT Church. This leader cultivates relationships with ministry partners, sponsors, foundations, and supporters who desire to invest in leadership development, outreach, and ministry growth.

    This role focuses exclusively on designated partnership funding and does not solicit tithes, offerings, or worship-related giving. All grant-related compensation is fixed and never percentage based.

    Compensation (Launch Phase)

    This is a volunteer role with a success-based honorarium for new, designated funding

    secured. Honoraria are capped, approved by leadership, and reviewed quarterly.

    Transition Opportunity

    As sustainable funding is established, this role may transition into a paid, part-time staff

    position within 0–3 months

    What You’ll Do:

    Fundraising & Development

    • Build and manage a development pipeline for designated ministry funding
    • Cultivate relationships with individual donors, ministry partners, and sponsors
    • Develop compelling cases for support, sponsorship decks, and donor-facing materials
    • Coordinate donor stewardship, follow-up, and impact reporting

    Partnerships & Sponsorships

    • Identify and secure corporate, foundation, and community partnerships
    • Develop sponsorship packages and underwriting opportunities
    • Represent the ministry professionally in meetings, presentations, and networking settings

    Grant Development

    • Research eligible grant opportunities aligned with ministry programs
    • Prepare, write, and submit competitive grant proposals
    • Track grant requirements, reporting deadlines, and compliance

    Systems & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate donor and partner records
    • Provide regular progress updates to church leadership
    • Ensure ethical fundraising practices and donor intent are upheld

    What You Bring:

    Required:

    • Proven success in nonprofit fundraising, development, advancement, or partnership management
    • Experience cultivating donor relationships and securing sponsorships or major gifts
    • Strong grant writing and grant management experience
    • Ability to design and execute a 90-day development strategy
    • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
    • Strong organizational and project management abilities
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred in one of the following fields:
      • Nonprofit Management
      • Business Administration
      • Communications
      • Public Relations
      • Marketing
      • Organizational Leadership
      • Theology or Ministry (with demonstrated fundraising experience)
    • Equivalent professional experience in nonprofit development or ministry
    • fundraising will be considered in place of a degree.

    Ministry Alignment

    • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission, values,

    and beliefs of Greater IMPACT Church

    • Ability to represent the ministry with humility, excellence, and Christlike character
    • Heart for outreach, discipleship, and long-term ministry sustainability

    Preferred:

    • 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or corporate

    partnerships

    • Experience launching development programs in early-stage or start-up ministries
    • Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud)
    • Existing network of philanthropic, nonprofit, or corporate contact
