Summary
The Facilitator is a vital member of the TechArts Empowerment Foundation team, responsible for leading engaging, hands-on workshops in coding and technology for youth. Facilitators ensure students not only learn technical skills but also build creativity, confidence, and problem-solving abilities.
This is a mission-driven, part-time role ideal for educators, coaches, or professionals who are passionate about working with young people and making technology accessible.
Compensation
- Workshop Facilitation: $150 per session (flat day rate).
- Prep/Design/Development Work: $25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
Workshop Facilitation
- Deliver interactive and engaging coding and technology workshops to students ages 8–18.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and skill levels.
- Manage classroom flow, ensuring sessions run smoothly and on schedule.
Curriculum & Preparation
- Assist in designing, updating, and refining workshop materials.
- Align lesson plans with TechArts’ mission and current industry practices.
- Prepare activities, equipment, and digital tools before each workshop.
Student Engagement & Support
- Encourage active participation, collaboration, and creativity among students.
- Provide individual and group support to help students overcome challenges.
- Offer constructive feedback and track student progress when required.
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and Operations Manager to align workshops with technology trends and program logistics.
- Contribute feedback to improve curriculum and program delivery.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, coding platforms, and youth education best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience coding with relevant languages or platforms (e.g., Scratch, Python, robotics kits).
- Prior teaching, coaching, or facilitation experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with youth and supporting equitable access to STEM education.
- Ability to adapt to flexible, creative, and evolving learning environments.
