    Description

    Human Resources Specialist

    The Human Resources Specialist at Humanity Pathways Global (HPG) plays a critical role in supporting the people operations of the organization. This position focuses on the day-to-day implementation of HR practices, including talent recruitment, volunteer and support staff engagement, onboarding, compliance, and fostering a healthy, inclusive work culture. The HR Specialist ensures that the human capital needs of the organization are met in alignment with HPG’s mission and values.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
    • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of employees, volunteers, and support staff.
    • Coordinate training and development opportunities for team members.
    • Help maintain an inclusive workplace culture that values equity, transparency, and collaboration.
    • Track and maintain HR records, documents, and systems.
    • Support compliance efforts with labor laws and nonprofit regulations.
    • Assist with performance reviews and provide administrative support for performance management systems.
    • Work closely with department leads to support team needs and employee/volunteer relations.
    • Use basic HR data to help improve engagement and operational decisions.
    • Support efforts in staff and volunteer retention by promoting a positive organizational culture.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
    • 2-4 years of HR or people operations experience; nonprofit experience a plus.
    • Understanding of HR compliance, particularly in nonprofit or volunteer-based settings.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
    • A commitment to HPG’s mission and values, and a passion for supporting people.
