    Description

Neighbors Program - Driving Neighbors to Doctor Appointments

Volunteers provide transportation to an older or disabled adult program participant, whom we refer to as "Neighbors." Our Neighbors are unable to drive and need help getting to their medical appointments. This is a very flexible opportunity as volunteers can choose as many, or as few, ride requests they would like to assist with. We do request a minimum of two rides per month, but some of our volunteers travel for months at a time and that is fine, too. The Volunteer is a critical link between Aster and our homebound Neighbors. Volunteers work under the supervision of the Neighbors Program Coordinator who provides orientation and guidance as needed.

Please note while Aster's administrative offices are located in Mesa, we are looking for volunteers wanting to help Mesa, Chandler and/or Gilbert Neighbors.
