    Location: 100% Remote (U.S.-based preferred; Atlanta timezone alignment a plus)

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible within core hours (e.g., 9:00 AM–1:00 PM EST or 1:00 PM–5:00 PM EST shifts)

    Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile, hands-on IT Leader to lead our combined IT Help Desk and Web Development functions in one strategic role. As a small, mission-driven non-profit with a fully remote team, this position combines technical leadership, end-user support, and digital presence management.     This is an ideal opportunity for a strategic yet practical IT professional who thrives in lean, remote environments and enjoys wearing multiple hats to drive organizational efficiency and growth.

    Important Note: These are learning-focused internships. Interns receive comprehensive tools, software access, equipment stipends (as available), training, and guidance to build skills and build a strong resume/portfolio. No prior experience is required—ideal for students, recent graduates, or career changers passionate about HR and non-profit work.

    Key Responsibilities

    IT Help Desk & Support Leadership (40–50%)

    • Oversee daily IT operations, including end-user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for a small remote team (HR, recruitment, admin, finance roles).
    • Manage the IT help desk function: prioritize tickets, ensure timely responses (within shift hours), and maintain high user satisfaction.
    • Provide Tier 1–3 support for hardware/software issues, email, collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams/Office 365), timekeeping systems, and remote access.
    • Implement and enforce IT policies, security protocols (e.g., MFA, VPN, data backups), and cybersecurity best practices to protect sensitive HR/client data.
    • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and recommend improvements to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
    • Develop and deliver user training sessions (e.g., on new tools, security awareness) to support Unstoppable Growth and Relentless Excellence.

    Web Development & Digital Presence Leadership (40–50%)

    • Lead strategy, design, development, and maintenance of our website (cherriegiveresultz.com) and digital assets (e.g., career portals, client portals, newsletters).
    • Oversee front-end/back-end development, CMS management (e.g., WordPress or similar), UI/UX enhancements, SEO optimization, and accessibility compliance (WCAG).
    • Collaborate with HR/marketing on content updates, job postings, forms (e.g., application intake, feedback), and integrations (e.g., calendars, email marketing).
    • Ensure website security, performance, mobile responsiveness, and uptime; troubleshoot issues and implement updates.
    • Drive Bold Innovation by exploring tools/features (e.g., AI chat, analytics) to improve user experience and support our non-profit mission.

    General IT Leadership & Strategy (10–20%)

    • Develop and manage the overall IT roadmap aligned with organizational goals (e.g., scalability for growth, cost-effective tools).
    • Manage vendors, budgets, and contracts for software, hosting, and support services.
    • Lead small-scale projects (e.g., tool migrations, system upgrades) with clear timelines and stakeholder communication (True Partnership).
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR/CCPA if applicable) and non-profit best practices.
    • Foster an inclusive, supportive IT culture that embodies Inclusive Superpower and Transformative Impact.

    Hiring, Training, Performance Management & Policy Development (20–30%)

    • Lead full-cycle talent acquisition: identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, post openings (e.g., on Indeed, Idealist, LinkedIn), screen resumes, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations in alignment with Inclusive Superpower and mission fit.
    • Design and deliver onboarding programs for new hires, including IT setup, tool training, policy orientation, and cultural immersion to ensure quick productivity and True Partnership.
    • Oversee performance management: develop and implement performance review processes, set goals tied to core values, conduct regular check-ins, provide constructive feedback, and create Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when needed to foster Unstoppable Growth and Relentless Excellence.
    • Create, review, and update organizational policies (e.g., remote work, timekeeping, IT security, employee handbook sections, data privacy, code of conduct) to ensure legal compliance (federal, Georgia state), best practices, and alignment with non-profit standards.
    • Manage policy rollout: communicate changes, train staff on new/updated policies, and monitor adherence through audits and feedback.
    • Support employee development initiatives, including training programs, professional growth opportunities, and recognition systems to build a high-performing, inclusive culture.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in non-profit or small organization settings (lean budgets, multi-role versatility).
    • Familiarity with HR/tech tools (e.g., applicant tracking systems, timekeeping software).
    • Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+/Network+, Google IT Support, or web dev equivalents.
    • Knowledge of SEO, accessibility standards, and basic cloud services (AWS/Google Cloud).
