    Description

    Overview:

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Designer/Content Creator to help elevate YTC’s online presence. This person will bring our brand story to life through engaging visuals, short videos, and cohesive social media templates that reflect our community, impact, and youth-centered mission. You’ll work closely with our Social Media Coordinator and leadership team to ensure our platforms not only look good—but feel good, with content that inspires connection, compassion, and action.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design visually appealing and on-brand graphics, templates, and layouts for social media (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
    • Develop a consistent aesthetic for YTC’s digital platforms.
    • Create short-form video content, reels, and behind-the-scenes clips from events and initiatives.
    • Collaborate on content calendars and campaign visuals for events like The Youth Summit and Traveling Chest Pop-Ups.
    • Maintain brand consistency across all visuals (colors, typography, logos, etc.).
    • Support photo/video editing and caption pairing for posts.
    • Brainstorm creative ideas to highlight youth stories, partnerships, and donor impact.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), or similar tools.
    • Understanding of social media trends and best practices.
    • Eye for layout, typography, and storytelling through design.
    • Basic knowledge of video editing (Reels, TikToks, or short interviews).
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Passion for community, youth empowerment, and creative impact.

Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Plus):

    • Photography or videography experience.
    • Familiarity with nonprofits or mission-driven branding.
    • Experience developing visual guides or social media style systems.

    What You’ll Gain:

    • Real-world experience designing for a mission-driven nonprofit.
    • A portfolio of creative work featured across YTC’s growing platforms.
    • Opportunities to lead creative campaigns and community projects.
    • Networking and mentorship within YTC’s creative and professional ecosystem.
