    Description

    Position Overview

    The Digital Video Editor Manager will oversee the creation, editing, and delivery of high quality video content that supports Autism Today’s programs, marketing efforts, and digital storytelling initiatives. In addition, this role will manage Autism Today’s YouTube channel, including uploading optimized videos, maintaining playlists, implementing SEO best practices for increased visibility, and actively working to grow the channel’s subscriber base and overall video views.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Video Editing and Production
    • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video content for YouTube, social media, website content, online programs, and marketing campaigns.
    • Add motion graphics, captions, transitions, branding elements, and music as needed.
    • Ensure all videos meet Autism Today’s quality, accessibility, and brand guidelines.

    YouTube Channel Management

    • Upload and optimize all videos following YouTube best practices.
    • Write effective titles, descriptions, tags, and keyword rich metadata.
    • Create and update thumbnails consistent with organizational branding.
    • Develop posting schedules and coordinate releases with the marketing team.
    • Implement growth strategies aimed at increasing subscribers, watch time, and overall engagement.
    • Contribute ideas for new YouTube content, educational videos, promotional material, and community engagement projects.
    • Monitor analytics and provide monthly insights on channel performance.

    Team Management

    • Lead and support a small team of volunteer video editors.
    • Provide guidance, feedback, and clear creative direction.

    Content Coordination

    • Work closely with the Marketing Team including the Social Media Team to align video content with active campaigns.
    • Assist in planning new video series and storytelling initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
    • Experience managing or contributing to YouTube channels.
    • Strong understanding of editing fundamentals, pacing, audio, color correction, and visual storytelling.
    • Ability to optimize videos for YouTube search and engagement.
    • Motion graphics skills (Adobe After Effects, Canva Pro animations, or similar).
