    Description

For 15 years, The Honeycomb Project has reimagined youth volunteerism by empowering children ages 3–17 to play an active role in shaping their communities. Through family-centered programs, we engage kids and their parents in meaningful volunteer opportunities that address pressing issues—from food insecurity to climate action—while providing critical resources and support to local nonprofit partners.

Now, we’re bringing this model to the greater Washington, DC area and inviting families to join the movement.

    Featured Project:

Bring a dose of fun to children who are hospitalized due to a critical or chronic illness. Your family will make no-sew blankets, engaging board books, and fun activity worksheets to donate to Children's Hospital, helping to make a child’s and caregiver's stay a little more comfortable.

By creating craft kits, your work at this project helps take a child’s mind away from the pain and stress of staying in a hospital in order to make for a better recovery.
