    Description

Project Intern to support Project engagement.

NewBeginnings Charitable Trust (NCT) is seeking committed and enthusiastic volunteers to support our fundraising and partnership-building efforts. We are looking for individuals who can dedicate 6 months to 1 year (longer is preferred) to contribute meaningfully to our mission of advancing the rights of women, girls, and children in vulnerable rural communities.

    Your Role.

As a Donor Research & Outreach Volunteer, you will:

    • Support the Project Team in identifying potential donors and foundations whose objectives align with NCT’s mission.
    • Use the websites and resources we provide to select suitable foundations; NCT will guide you if you are unsure about alignment.
    • Send initial inquiry emails to identified foundations, introducing NCT and exploring grant or partnership opportunities.
    • Once a connection is established and a foundation expresses interest, NCT will take over the communication, including submission of concept notes, project proposals, and further documentation.

    What You Will Gain

By volunteering with NCT, you will:

    • Gain first-hand exposure to the nonprofit sector, including project design, fundraising strategies, partnership development, and networking.
    • Engage with meaningful social causes, especially those related to gender rights and rural development.
    • Develop and refine your communication and professional email-writing skills, especially in establishing partnerships from a cold start.
    • Receive training and guidance from experienced professionals in the field.
    • Be awarded an “Appreciation of Volunteer Certificate" and an official reference letter upon successful completion of your tenure.

    Expected skills/qualities:

While not mandatory, the following qualities are an advantage:

    • Strong written communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Curiosity and willingness to learn
    • Ability to work independently
    • Genuine interest in social impact and nonprofit work
