    Description

    Outings Leader

    Responsible for leading safe nature outings for a group of children, teeen or young adults with our community partners

    • Complete Outdoor Leadership Training (OLT) & co-lead provisional outing prior to becoming a leader
    • Organize & manage logistics of outing from start to finish
      • Pre-"hike" chosen outing location
      • Assign duties to Co-leaders, as necessary (e.g. make lunches)
      • Create Safety Management Plan
      • Complete Post-Trip Report
    • Manage communication with community partnerhosts from pre-trip through post-trip
      • Send Trip Release fors 3 to 6 weeks prior to trip outing
      • Receive & review Trip Release forms for allergies & completion
      • If necessary, attend pre-trip tabling event at participaing community partner
    • Maintain Las Vegas ICO equipment (i.e. Sierra Club backpacks, two-way radios, Spot Garmin device)
