Las Vegas Inspiring Connections Outdoors (LVICO)--is an all-volunteer community outreach program of the Sierra Club. Through group outings and other program, LVICO partners with community groups. This enables LVICO to introduce urban youth to the natural outdoor world so that they may forge a meaningful bond with nature and learn to appreciate its wonder and understand the need to protect it.
Through these experiences, LVICO promotes "Leave No Trace Principles," a framework of simple practices for anyone visiting the outdoors, always promoted by LVICO on its natural outdoors experiences for kids who seldom or never have such opportunities.

LVICO focuses on underserved urban youth in the Las Vegas Metroplitan area. Volunteer leaders work in cooperation with community agencies and schools to provide safe and enjoyable outdoor experiences to young people who, otherwise, might not have them. ICO is seeking volunteer hike leaders as diverse as the youth we serve. We are also seeking members of the support team for leaders, including managing paperwork and recruitment of leaders among people of color representative of our typical youth participants.
Donations to support LVICO can be to the Sierra Club Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit and thus tax-deductible, or they can be made directly to LVICO.
