Cat Event Volunteers Needed! Help Get Cats Homes & Keep Them Healthy!

We are looking for volunteers to assist with special events! These might include:

Open Houses - Help potential adopters and fosters find cats and kittens to take home! Show people around our facility, allowing them to find the cat that best suits them. Keep the cats' rooms clean as people come to visit them, make sure human guests see all of our cat rooms, load kitties into carriers as they head to their new homes, and more! Open houses are held on Saturdays from 2-5pm and Tuesdays from 5-7pm.

Vaccine Clinic Reception - Check cats in for their vaccine/wellness appointments! We hold low-cost wellness days for community members seeking affordable care for their kitties. Our clinic team will take care of the medical stuff. We just need your help making sure we know who is here and when, keeping things running smoothly!

Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) Recovery Room - Monitor cats pre- and post- spay/neuter surgery! TNR is a crucial part of saving the lives of cats in our community. Our medical team will take care of the surgery. You'll keep them comfy before and after! You might make sure they have heating pads if cold, a towel over their enclosure if nervous, or clean up any messes they make while still a little confused after waking up from anesthesia. Any questions or concerns go to medical staff. No veterinary medicine experience required, though it is a good opportunity to learn about cat behavior and anesthesia recovery!

Other events - Assist with community events that are not regularly scheduled. These could include volunteer fairs, adoption fairs, fundraisers, and other pet/cat/nonprofit events! Tasks will vary based on event, but may include helping set up, decorating, and breaking down tables, and engaging with the people interested in our mission.
