    Role Summary

    This role supports Sisterhood Sanctuary’s mission by using social media influence, storytelling, and digital advocacy to uplift domestic violence awareness, survivor safety, and community resources. Influencers and ambassadors help amplify our message, promote campaigns, and encourage community engagement through trauma-informed, respectful communication.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Share approved awareness posts, safety resources, and campaigns
    • Promote organizational events, fundraisers, and community initiatives
    • Create trauma-informed content focused on DV support, empowerment, and healing
    • Represent the nonprofit with professionalism, sensitivity, and survivor-centered language
    • Help expand visibility and reach on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
    • Engage respectfully with followers and direct them to resource links (no counseling)
    • Support awareness months (DVAM, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, etc.)
    • Collaborate with the PR/Marketing Director on messaging, graphics, and campaigns
    • Maintain survivor confidentiality and avoid sensationalized or triggering content

    Qualifications

    • Active social media presence with consistent posting
    • Understanding of trauma-sensitive communication (training provided)
    • Passion for survivor advocacy and community education
    • Ability to represent the mission with maturity, empathy, and professionalism
    • No need for a large platform — authenticity and respect are more important
    • Willingness to follow brand guidelines and safety policies
