    Approximately 4 hours per week of remote work for three months, with flexible scheduling. For the right person, there will be opportunities for added responsibilities and growth in the organization as we expand our work and access funding.

    Description

    You are an experienced, thoughtful educator. You are passionate about equity, the power of language learning, and girls’ education and empowerment. Our ideal candidate is a TESOL professional with a strong foundation in English language teaching and a passion for curriculum development. This collaborative and dependable volunteer demonstrates:

    • Professional experience in TESOL, ESL, or EFL
    • Knowledge of TESOL pedagogy, second language acquisition, and learner‑centered instruction
    • Experience with curriculum development
    • Experience working with adolescent learners
    • Familiarity with content‑based instruction or project‑based learning
    • Interest in journalism, media literacy, or girls’ education

    The TESOL Curriculum Integration Specialist will work closely with our educators and curriculum team to embed and integrate TESOL pedagogy into our unique journalism‑based education program for girls. This role focuses on strengthening language development through culturally responsive genre and project-based learning. Responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing existing journalism education curricula through a TESOL lens
    • Recommending and designing TESOL‑aligned instructional strategies and learning activities
    • Supporting the integration of language objectives alongside journalism content objectives
    • Advising on assessment strategies for English language learners
    • Collaborating with staff and educators to ensure alignment with program goals and local context

    • Collaborate closely with mission-driven, organizational leadership and international program staff

    • Contribute to the development of learning materials with the power to create deep social impact
