    Serve on the WithAll Board of Directors

    Help accelerate WithAll’s mission of supporting kids’ health through healthy body image and positive food relationships while growing your executive leadership, governance acumen, and community impact.

    Who we’re seeking

    Experienced leaders (Director/Senior Director, VP, SVP, C-suite) who bring strategic thinking, influence, and a bias for action. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and sectors.

    What you’ll do (Core Responsibilities)

    Ambassador

    • Create new connections and open doors for WithAll.
    • Promote WithAll’s mission and programs across your networks.
    • Attend WithAll’s special and annual events—and invite others to join.
    • Surface community needs and opportunities aligned to WithAll’s mission.

    Steward of Financial Health

    • Proactively identify opportunities to grow WithAll’s financial support base.
    • Make WithAll a top personal philanthropic priority each year (company match welcomed).
    • Stay familiar with finances, budget, and resource needs.
    • Help adopt—and provide ongoing oversight of—the annual budget.

    Contributor to Strong Board Governance

    • Understand and uphold WithAll’s policies and procedures.
    • Help identify, cultivate, and engage new Board candidates to strengthen the Board and ensure longevity.
    • Commit to thoughtful succession by helping fill your seat when your term ends.
    • Attend all Board meetings (rare exceptions receive advance dispensation from the Board Chair and Executive Director).
    • Participate in the Chief Executive’s annual evaluation.
    • Serve on at least one Board committee; attend meetings (rare exceptions with advance notice to the Committee Chair and Executive Director).
    • Actively engage in committee work between meetings; volunteer for assignments and complete them on time.
    • Prepare for meetings; review minutes/reports and contribute informed feedback.
    • Build collegial relationships to support consensus and effective decision-making.
    • Participate in annual evaluation and planning for your committee.

    Ideal experience (nice-to-have)

    Finance, community relations, communications, fundraising, marketing/brand, government/community relations, HR/people, DEI, legal, risk, operations, technology, partnerships, or healthcare/public health.

    Time & Term

    • Average of 2 hrs/month
    • Board and committee cadence:
      • E/o month 90-min Board meetings (3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month e/o month 9-10:30am)
      • 60-minute committee meets in advance of Board meeting
    • Term: 3 years
    • Format: virtual (hybrid/in-person 2x/year – in Minneapolis)

    Support & Onboarding

    • Board orientation, committee placement, and year-round staff support.

    Compensation

    • Volunteer role (non-compensated). Travel and event tickets may be tax-deductible where allowed by law.
