    Music Companion  Volunteers Needed- Greenwood, IN

    If you have a passion for music and care about those batteling lonliness then this is the opportunity for you. Help is needed to provide companionship through music to hospice patients. Music provides various physical and mental health benefits. Musical memories are often preserved in patients suffering from Dementia. Key brain areas linked to musical memory are relatively undamaged by the disease. Music helps to lower the level of the stress hormone cortisol helping our patients to feel calmer and physically more capable of relaxing.
