    Volunteer Human Resources Assistant - Help Create Life-Changing Partnerships

    About the Role:

    Your Service Dog Inc is looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented volunteer to assist with Human Resources tasks that keep our mission moving. As our HR Assistant, you’ll help coordinate volunteer applications, interviews, and onboarding for the amazing people who make our programs possible.

    This role is ideal for someone with an interest in human resources, nonprofit work, or simply helping others thrive. It’s fully remote and deeply rewarding.

    About the Organization:

    Your Service Dog Inc is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through powerful Service Dog partnerships. We support both individuals who are training their own service dogs with our expert guidance and those who receive a trained dog through our Prospect Evaluation and Placement (PEP) program. Every partnership is unique - but the goal is the same: a better, more independent life through canine assistance.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Reviewing and organizing volunteer applications
    • Communicating with applicants via email and VolunteerMatch
    • Scheduling interviews and coordinating with team leads
    • Assisting with onboarding tasks such as NDAs, welcome emails, and checklists
    • Maintaining accurate and confidential volunteer records
    • Attending occasional team meetings (via Zoom or Microsoft Teams)

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Friendly and professional communicator
    • Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
    • Comfortable using email, online forms, and spreadsheets
    • Experience in HR, administration, or volunteer coordination is a plus but not required
    • Passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives

    Time Commitment:

    Approximately 5-10 hours per week. Flexible schedule.
