    Website and Digital Media Manager

U.S. Alliance to End the Hitting of Children: Website and Digital Media Manager

Job Description: Seeking Web and Social Media Support Help

Job Title: Website and Digital Media Manager

    Location: Remote

    Employment Type: Contract

Dates: Ideally, this will be an ongoing role, starting with more hours up front to address immediate needs and then tapering to a lighter, steady workload over time.

    Remuneration: Hourly basis

Hours: Flexible, with an estimated commitment of up to 20 hours per month.

The U.S. Alliance to End the Hitting of Children is committed to ending all corporal punishment of children in schools and at home. We do that through informing the public about the negative effects of paddling and spanking, encouraging state-wide school bans, and advocating for the use of positive discipline.

The Website and Digital Media Manager will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, creativity, great attention to detail, and passionate about making a difference and supporting the U.S. Alliance’s mission.

Your responsibilities will include working alongside the U.S. Alliance board members remotely to ensure the smooth maintenance of our websites. Our three websites are the primary ways in which we provide information; therefore, their being active and accurate is essential to promoting our mission. The websites are authored in WordPress, with a GoDaddy domain.

We maintain active social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. This role will be responsible for creating content and managing these platforms to strengthen our advocacy and education efforts.

We process supporter donations through Stripe, integrated with the U.S. Alliance to End the Hitting of Children website. Therefore, familiarity with Stripe is essential to ensure smooth and accurate donation processing.

We also publish and distribute quarterly e-newsletters, which are shared on our website and with our supporter database via email or link. Our Gmail Nonprofit Account manages email and document storage, but we are seeking an affordable email distribution platform (such as Constant Contact) and welcome recommendations. Prior experience in marketing, content creation, and e-newsletter editing is highly valued.

If you are a self-starter with a passion for protecting children, we want to hear from you. Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of children in the United States!

    Responsibilities Include:

    1. Collaborate remotely with U.S. Alliance Board Members to support the organization’s mission through technology and digital tools.
    2. Maintain and update organizational websites (endhitting.org, banpaddlingar.com, stopspanking.org) in WordPress, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and uptime.
    3. Ensure the websites are adhering to basic search engine optimization (SEO) and accessibility guidelines.
    4. Manage website domains and hosting services through GoDaddy, and quickly address and resolve any connectivity issues.
    5. Oversee and maintain the organization’s social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to support advocacy and outreach efforts.
    6. Ensure accurate and secure donation processing through Stripe integration on the website.
    7. Assist with the creation, editing, and distribution of quarterly e-newsletters, published on the website and shared with the supporter database.
    8. Support marketing and content creation efforts to strengthen advocacy, education, and donor engagement.
    9. Apply strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
    10. Optional opportunity to attend Board Meetings as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma.
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with GoDaddy, WordPress, and Stripe integrations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, web management tools, email platforms, and familiarity with social media technologies.
    • Familiar with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Google Gemini, and others to assist with editing content, images, and other assets.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills; able to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
