    Description

    🚨 About the Project

WeAFAR is launching a nationwide Campus Outreach Initiative to raise awareness about scams targeting college and international students. These crimes cause not only financial harm but deep emotional distress. And awareness is the first line of defense.

Our goal: empower young people to recognize scams before they fall victim. We’re building a creative, student-centered campaign using social media storytelling, short-form videos/reels, and peer-to-peer engagement across campuses.

    Role Overview

We’re looking for a social media enthusiast or emerging digital communicator to help us reach students where they are — online! You’ll collaborate with our outreach team to design and share engaging, relatable content for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

    You’ll help us:

    • Brainstorm and create short, informative, or story-driven posts and videos about scam prevention
    • Adapt educational content into youth-friendly formats
    • Monitor engagement and share insights on what resonates with students
    • Support campaign launches on specific campuses

🌱 You’ll Love This Role If You:

    • Are passionate about protecting students and raising awareness of fraud and online scams
    • Enjoy creating content or trends on social media (especially TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts)
    • Have an eye for storytelling, humor, or creative ways to simplify complex topics
    • Want to gain hands-on experience in cause-based digital communication and public awareness campaigns

    What You’ll Get:

    • Experience working with an emerging nonprofit addressing real-world issues of fraud and mental health
    • Mentorship and collaboration with a diverse outreach team
    • The satisfaction of helping prevent scams that devastate young lives

    To apply:

Please send a brief note expressing your interest and any relevant social media experience (personal or professional) to info@weafar.org.
