    Description

    Kitten Foster - Save kittens!

    Kitten fosters needed!

Can you spare some room in your heart and home?

***If you are still working from home, this is an opportunity for you!***

Mini Cat Town is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving neonatal kittens. Every year, the San Jose Animal Care Center is impacted with 5,000 orphaned kittens found lost, abandoned, or sick. Mini Cat Town is a safety net for these kittens. A foster's role is to open their homes and care for these kittens until they are eating on their own and old enough to be adopted.

The kittens in need of foster range from:

Neonatal: 0-4 weeks old that require bottle feeding every couple hours.

Transitional: Kittens that are 4-6 weeks old and need to be weaned from formula to solid food. Feeding ranges from 4-8 hours.

Weaned: Kittens that are 6-8 weeks old and need more socialization until their adoption age. Require 3 meals a day and socialization.

    We will provide:

Instruction and advice on kitten care.

    All supplies.

    Kitten healthcare.

Moral support and a community of experienced fosters.

    A foster should have:

Basic knowledge of cats and kittens. We will teach the rest!

Time commitment of 2 to 8 weeks depending on age and status of kitten.

    A healthy and safe environment.

Ability to provide lots of socialization and cuddles.
