Curriculum & Learning Design Manager (Volunteer)

    About A&N Career Services Project

A&N Career Services Project is a career services and workforce readiness initiative supporting individuals as they navigate career transitions, build readiness, and connect with opportunity. Our programs are grounded in practical guidance, employer-informed learning, and clearly defined frameworks that guide how our work is designed and delivered.

As the Project grows, establishing a consistent curriculum structure aligned to A&N’s existing frameworks is essential to delivering high-quality, scalable programming across cohorts, locations, and partnerships.

    Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Curriculum & Learning Design Manager to design and implement the curriculum format and learning structure for A&N Career Services Project, using established A&N frameworks as the foundation for all work.

This role focuses on curriculum architecture and applied design, not facilitation or instruction. You will translate A&N frameworks into practical, modular curriculum structures that can be used consistently across programs and adapted as the Project grows.

The curriculum developed through this role will be used internally by A&N Career Services Project to support current and future programming.

    Volunteer Engagement Format

This role is open to volunteers participating virtually, and all core responsibilities can be completed remotely. Collaboration will take place primarily through shared tools, documentation, and virtual meetings throughout the cohort.

An orientation will be held at the start of the cohort to welcome volunteers, provide context on the Project, and support early connection. For volunteers who are not able to attend in person in Atlanta, GA, the orientation experience will be fully adapted for virtual participation, ensuring all volunteers receive the same foundational information and onboarding support.

Some roles may include optional or role-specific in-person activities when aligned with the nature of the work. When applicable, these details will be clearly outlined in the individual position description. Location is not a factor in the contribution or the professional value of the volunteer experience.

All volunteers, regardless of location, will have access to the same onboarding materials, role expectations, mentorship opportunities, and cohort touchpoints aligned with their role.

    What You Will Do

    • Design the overall curriculum structure and learning framework aligned with A&N frameworks
    • Develop modular curriculum formats and learning flows that can be applied across cohorts and programs
    • Define learning objectives, session structure, and content organization at a systems level
    • Support the implementation of curriculum formats within Project programming
    • Ensure curriculum design is adaptable, consistent, and aligned with workforce readiness goals
    • Collaborate with Program Infrastructure, Content & Editorial, and Program Operations volunteers to ensure alignment and usability
    • Contribute to program readiness for future partnerships, pilots, and funding opportunities
    • Participate in virtual collaboration and optional in-person meetings when available

More than one volunteer may be selected for this role based on project needs.

You Will Be a Strong Fit If You

    • Have experience in curriculum development, learning design, workforce training, or program design
    • Are comfortable applying existing frameworks to create structured learning experiences
    • Enjoy building systems and formats rather than delivering instruction
    • Can work independently while collaborating with cross-functional contributors
    • Have experience designing learning for adult or professional audiences
    • Want to contribute foundational work that supports long-term program growth

    What You Will Gain

    • Leadership-level volunteer experience contributing to curriculum design and implementation
    • Portfolio-ready experience applying established frameworks to real-world programming
    • Professional references upon successful completion of the engagement
    • Mentorship opportunities with experienced leaders in career services and workforce development
    • Inclusion in a growing professional network connected to A&N Career Services Project
