    Description

    Forest Conservation Program

    Join MRCI’s Forest Conservation Program on the biodiverse island of Nosy Komba, Madagascar. Volunteers support long-term ecological research by monitoring endangered species, conducting biodiversity surveys, and mapping forest health.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Conducting flora and fauna surveys

    • Supporting lemur, bird, and reptile monitoring

    • Participating in invasive species removal and trail maintenance

    • Assisting with data collection and conservation outreach

    Qualifications:

    • Interest in ecology, environmental science, or conservation

    • Basic physical fitness and ability to hike in tropical terrain

    • Willingness to work in remote conditions with a team

    This is a unique opportunity to gain field research experience while contributing to the protection of Madagascar’s rare and endemic species.
