Volunteer Coordinator

North East Wake Backpack Buddies is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps provide weekend meals to children facing food insecurity in North East Wake County (Wake Forest, Rolesville, Knightdale and Zebulon). We are looking for an individual to join our Board as our Volunteer Coordinator. As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will work directly with our board and our volunteers to ensure that weekly packs are scheduled and staffed. This individual should have excellent communication and organization skills. Board members also assist with running the program by organizing food packing events quarterly, attending special events and assisting with strategic direction and planning. The Board meets on the first Tuesday evening of the month to plan, discuss, and organize all aspects of the organization. Board members hold the position for a 3 year term.
