    Description

    Who We Are

    Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) is an established nonprofit start-up that brings a multidisciplinary approach to human rights and seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and the wider public. We educate through facts, advocate using our research findings, and take action to implement change.

    Who You Are

    You are a dedicated human rights advocate with exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills. You’re comfortable juggling multiple projects in dynamic, start-up environments and thrive in both independent and collaborative settings. You value ethics, equity, and trauma-informed approaches and have a keen eye for detail and storytelling.

    What You’ll Do

    • Research and monitor human rights issues globally, analyzing information from diverse sources
    • Draft compelling written content including research reports, briefing papers, op-eds, and press materials
    • Create data visualizations and infographics to communicate findings in accessible formats
    • Support research project protocols and assist with literature reviews and synthesis
    • Apply qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, or open-source research techniques
    • Contribute feedback and collaborate with team members to shape final deliverables
    • Exceptional contributors may lead analysis on specific issues or assist in editorial strategy

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated interest in international human rights and advocacy
    • Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail and clarity
    • Experience with at least one research methodology (qualitative, quantitative, open-source, etc.)
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences
    • Comfort working remotely and navigating flexible deadlines
    • Fluency in languages other than English is a plus but not required
    • Proficiency in visualization tools (e.g., Canva, Tableau, etc.) or presentation design is beneficial
