Position Overview:

As our Outreach Coordinator/Community Engagement Liaison in Dallas, you'll be the vital link between SelfSoulLiberate and the communities we serve. You'll build meaningful relationships, foster collaborations, and directly connect individuals with our resources to advance health equity and mental wellness.

Role Description:

We are seeking a passionate, empathetic, and highly collaborative Outreach Coordinator/Community Engagement Liaison to build and nurture relationships within under-resourced communities in Dallas, Texas. This remote volunteer position is fundamental to understanding community needs, expanding our reach, and ensuring our programs are accessible and culturally responsive. You will be responsible for identifying key community leaders, organizations, and events, and for directly engaging residents to promote SelfSoulLiberate's mission and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and establish relationships with key community leaders, local organizations, and influential groups in under-resourced Dallas communities.
• Represent SelfSoulLiberate at community meetings, events, and forums, actively engaging with residents and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and conduct outreach activities, including informational sessions, workshops, and resource fairs, to promote mental health literacy and SelfSoulLiberate's services.
• Gather feedback and insights from community members to inform program development and ensure our initiatives meet local needs effectively.
• Distribute educational materials and resources about mental health equity, stigma reduction, and SelfSoulLiberate's mission.
• Collaborate with the SelfSoulLiberate team to align outreach efforts with organizational goals and program offerings.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, community contacts, and engagement metrics.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in community outreach, engagement, social work, or a related field, ideally within a non-profit or public health context.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with diverse community members.
• Deep understanding of and passion for the Dallas, TX community, particularly its under-resourced areas.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple outreach activities simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for tracking engagement and resources.
• Empathetic, culturally sensitive, and committed to SelfSoulLiberate's mission of health equity and mental health stigma reduction.
• Comfortable and effective working in a remote environment, with excellent virtual communication and collaboration skills.
