    Volunteers are scheduled to be on call for a minimum of three 12 hour shifts per month. Shifts are based on your availability.

    Volunteers must complete the TIP Training Academy and attend a monthly 3 hr Continuing Education Meeting. The meeting falls on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00PM.

    Description

    TIP Volunteers are called by Emergency Responders to traumatic scenes to provide comfort and support to survivors of crime and tragedy. Volunteers assist anxious citizens, survivors of crime, a fire/flood and family members after the death of a loved one. Volunteers remain with survivors until their support system arrives and provide emotional support and resources specific to the clients needs.
