    The Lyra Legacy Foundation Workforce Development Program Development

    Location: Remote and/or Hybrid (based on availability)

    About LLF:

    The Lyra Legacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentorship, scholarship, and workforce development—especially among youth from underserved and minority communities. Named in honor of a powerful matriarchal legacy, LLF provides opportunities for young people to grow into future leaders equipped with purpose and professional readiness.

    Volunteer Overview:

    The Lyra Legacy Foundation is seeking motivated and passionate college students and recent graduates from diverse backgrounds— specifically, young women, young men, and minorities—to join our Workforce Development Program development. Volunteers will contribute to impactful community-focused projects while gaining hands-on experience in their field of interest.

    Volunteers will work in one or more of the following focus areas based on their educational background and personal interests:

      • Human Resources: Support recruitment and onboarding efforts for mentorship programs, assist in developing inclusive engagement strategies, and help evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives related to staff and volunteer well-being.
      • Business Administration: Help improve operational workflows, assist in nonprofit management efforts, and gain exposure to strategic planning and reporting.
      • Finance/Accounting: Assist in budgeting and financial planning for mentorship and outreach initiatives, ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting, and support the evaluation of program cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
      • Marketing/Communications: Develop social media content, assist with branding efforts, and participate in campaign planning and event promotions.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate with team members to support LLF's workforce development goals
      • Conduct research, draft materials, and assist in program coordination
      • Engage in community outreach and build relationships with partner organizations
      • Contribute creative ideas to enhance youth engagement and public visibility
      • Participate in team meetings, mentorship sessions, and development workshops

    Qualifications:

      • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university
      • Background in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Passionate about social equity, youth development, and giving back to the community
      • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
      • Reliable and professional with a positive attitude
