    Description

Time Commitment Expectations: This position requires a commitment of approximately 2-4 hours per week, with flexibility based on project needs and timelines.

About Us: She Became is dedicated to empowering young women by providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills, engage in community service, and prepare for future success. Our mission is to empower girls to embrace their potential and pursue their dreams.

We are committed to building a board that reflects the diverse communities we serve and encourages individuals of all backgrounds to apply. If you're excited about mentoring the next generation, advancing equity, and creating meaningful change in your community, we’d love to talk more.

Position Overview: The Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for the behind-the-scenes operations that power She Became’s national scholarship. This role builds and maintains the systems, processes, and workflows that keep the scholarship running smoothly. The coordinator focuses on structure, accuracy, and efficiency so the program is consistent, fair, and scalable year over year.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up and manage the operational backbone of the scholarship, including timelines, application portals, forms, and documentation.
    • Maintain clear eligibility criteria, review rubrics, and internal standard operating procedures.
    • Oversee the application review process—assigning reviewers, tracking progress, validating scores, and ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Work with Communications to coordinate outreach timelines and ensure all materials are accurate and up to date.
    • Partner with Finance and leadership on award disbursement, records management, and compliance requirements.
    • Track applicant numbers, reviewer participation, scoring trends, and year-end metrics.
    • Document improvements, maintain playbooks, and support annual updates to the scholarship process.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong operations and project-management skills with comfort running structured processes.
    • High attention to detail, accuracy, and version control.
    • Clear communication skills to coordinate across internal teams and volunteer reviewers.
    • Ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and flag risks early.
    • Process-oriented mindset with a commitment to fairness, consistency, and data integrity.
    • Interest in building programs that expand opportunity for education
