About the Role
As a Disaster Community Preparedness Education Program Team Member, you’ll help save lives and prevent injuries by delivering free, engaging safety and preparedness education to individuals, families, and community groups across our region.
Your efforts will make a real impact—helping people be ready for emergencies large and small.
Time Commitment
Approximately 5–10 hours per month
What You’ll Do
- Support regional goals and preparedness initiatives by participating in meetings, events, and local outreach efforts.
- Deliver Be Red Cross Ready, Hands-Only CPR, and Ready Rating presentations to help community members prepare for emergencies.
- Partner with local organizations to build relationships and expand community reach.
- Assist with preparedness materials, inventory, and event coordination.
What You’ll Bring
- A desire to make a difference and serve your community.
- Comfort speaking to groups and engaging with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to follow Red Cross training and program guidelines.
- Age 16 or older (background check required).
