    Description

    Help amplify stories that matter-volunteer as a Web Media and Content Specialist and use your skills to help us present clear, accessible and inspiring content to millions of humaneworld.org visitors. By improving how information is displayed and consumed, you can help make Humane World for Animals more welcoming, inclusive and effective in driving change.​

    Responsibilities include supporting website media library management regularly, including auditing the website media library in Drupal CMS, and supporting website content development as needed, such as developing new content that supports our campaigns.

    Becoming a volunteer

    Requirements for our volunteers:

    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Comfortable working collaboratively in a remote environment
    • Experience with Drupal and SEO preferred
    • English/Spanish translation skills a plus

    Commitment policy:

    • Volunteers commit to about three hours per week for six months.

    Restrictions:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must have access to the Internet
    • Must successfully complete a criminal background check

    Process:

    • Please review the description and restrictions above to help determine if our volunteer opportunity is the right one for you.
    • After review of your application, a staff member may contact you to discuss the opportunity. If we mutually determine that the opportunity appears to be a good match, you will be asked to fill out an authorization form allowing us to carry out a background check.
    • Before becoming an official volunteer, you must pass the background check, sign a volunteer agreement, and sign a waiver/release of liability.
